When Aladdin took Princess Jasmine for a magic carpet ride in the Disney classic, he sang “I can show you the world – shining, shimmering, splendour!”

I think we can all agree, that the world that we are experiencing in the wake of COVID-19 is anything but that.

It’s a world of uncertainty, global shifts, change, change and more change.

Moving out of a difficult season

It’s been a difficult season for Wriggle and Rhyme. Our branch classes for babies and toddlers (running in Melkbosstrand, Rondebosch, Claremont, Meadowridge, Fish Hoek and Somerset West) were forced to close during lockdown.

Our pre-schools programme running at many pre-schools across Cape Town also halted, as ECDs were also forced to close.

Change forces innovation

Our passion for music education is born out of our passion for seeing children thrive. The benefits of music-based learning are widely researched and experienced.

Our classes tap into those benefits offering a unique, stimulating and highly relational experience for those that attend.

Classes during Lockdown

One of the challenges that we faced when considering our options, was how do we translate our OFFLINE class experience into on ONLINE one? Would it even work? Could we honestly offer customers a comparable experience? One that we could stand by and feel comfortable charging money for?

These challenges sparked creativity and innovation as we considered our OPTIONS.

Rather than jump into ONLINE learning, we offered FREE musical episodes for the first 4 weeks of hard Lockdown.

The goal of these episodes, was to show you, our valued customers, how much we appreciate you!

We wanted to help during the first phase of hard Lockdown, by sharing our resources.

Realising that Lockdown was going to extend way past the initial phase, we used that time to learn and pivot. We needed to be able to offer OPTIONS for parents to choose from, based on their family’s needs.

We realised that we were entering a WHOLE NEW WORLD.

Moving out of Lockdown was going to take time. We realised that the phased approach that the SA Government adopted, would need to apply to our services too.

COVID Compliant Classes

We have worked hard with our attorney (at https://www.rhattorneys.co.za) to put together a COVID Compliance Plan to allow our branches to open during LEVEL 3.

COVID-19 Compliance Plan

http://wriggleandrhyme.co.za/covid-compliance/ gives more info about our Compliance Plan.

This means that from 29th June, you can attend our baby and toddler classes at your local branch.

https://wriggleandrhyme.local gives you more information on what to expect and how to join.

Launching LIVE online classes

Knowing that OFFLINE classes may still be complicated for some families, we are also offering ONLINE classes for ALL AGE GROUPS.

We’ve used the past 8 weeks to learn, train and refine these classes.

The feedback from parents and children has been overwhelmingly positive.

OPTIONS for Pre-Schoolers

With uncertainty over when ECDs will be able to open, our ONLINE classes give parents options for their children.

You can expect the same level of fun, educational stimulation, relationship and connection.

https://wriggleandrhyme.local gives you loads more info and options to join a class.

We have classes on EVERY DAY of the week to suit every schedule too.
