Marcellé is the newest member of the Wriggle and Rhyme team. She will be presenting classes from her home in Melkbosstrand from January 2018.

Marcellé, please tell us a bit about yourself.

I am the wife of a wonderful husband and the mommy of a beautiful 1-year-old boy (and three dog-children). I have a passion for reaching out to people and building relationships. I am absolutely crazy about being a mommy and being part of the amazing miracle that is seeing children grow and develop. I love teaching in a vast variety of settings. My family and the time spent with them is very important to me.

What do you love and what not?

Love: Authentic people and conversations, reading, music and theatre, dance, nature, rollercoasters, cooking, trying new and unique restaurants.
Not so much: Strenuous exercise… (except for dance), food with no flavour, feeling too cold or too hot.

What have you been doing recently?

Having studied Psychology and Education, I have been a teacher and informal counsellor for the past 5 years. My husband and I have recently had our first baby and I love the two men in my house to bits. We have also moved to Melkbosstrand and are loving becoming involved in our new community.

Why did you choose Wriggle and Rhyme?

After much research, I am so excited about this new adventure! The main motivation for looking at home-business options was my family. As a mommy, I want to be part of my son’s everyday development and growth, but more than that, really to invest in this little person to the best of my ability. I have been passionate about music and its ability to stimulate development on various levels for all my life. As mentioned before, I also absolutely love teaching and building relationships. Wriggle and Rhyme is a perfect combination of these passions. The support and guidance from Kirsty and the W&R team is also wonderfully encouraging!

What are you most excited about?

I see the wonderful effect that music has on my son and it excites me to be able to give other families the opportunity to do the same. We took our son to a Wriggle and Rhyme class and he was staring at the teacher with absolute fascination, he (and I) enjoyed it so much! I am excited about using my passions and talents in serving my community and being able to really be there for my family while doing this.
