Introducing Clarice Pechau-Whitton …

Clarice is taking over the Claremont branch, and will be presenting classes from her home, from January 2018.

Clarice, please tell us about yourself.

Growing up I have always been a mother figure to my family and friends. I am very family orientated and love spending time with my close and extended family. I married my soulmate 10 years ago and 7 years later we were blessed with our happy, lovable little boy. We waited a long time for our precious little bundle of joy, and we treasure every minute that we get to spend with him.

What have you been doing recently?

I’ve always had a passion for all kinds of creativity, so I studied Film and TV specializing in camera and editing. I like to call myself a story teller as I take interviews from people and create their story from it. Currently I am a family photographer, and I love capturing secret and special moments, through my lens, between family members.

Why did you choose Wriggle and Rhyme?

Ever since I was small, music has been a huge part of my life. My memories are full of musical experiences. For example, my sisters and I would put on music shows for our family and friends, or I would put on my favourite tunes and just dance the day away on my own.

So, when my little man came along I immediately enrolled him in Wriggle and Rhyme. During the classes I could see first hand how music was stimulating him. He would listen and react to the songs and instrument work, and this was wonderfully stimulating for his growth and development.

Keen to be at home and spend as much time with my boy as possible, when this opportunity came along I jumped at the chance to be part of this amazing program and to connect with other moms, in bringing this wonderful musical program to their little ones.

What are you most excited about?

I’m most excited about sharing Wriggle and Rhyme with other children and seeing how music contributes to their development. Music brings people together, so I can’t wait to meet all the new moms and carers that will come through my door. It’s going to be such a privilege to share the joy of music with them too.
